SUMMARY:Quantum dots at telecom wavelength and their use in quantum network
 s
DESCRIPTION:Epitaxial quantum dots are rapidly becoming one of the most pro
mising platforms for the generation of quantum light. Particularly relevan
t for technology applications\, like long distance quantum communication\,
is the possibility to operate at telecom wavelength. In this seminar\, I
will discuss recent experiments conducted in Stuttgart employing quantum d
ots operating at telecom wavelength: from remote all-photonic quantum tele
portation\, employing quantum frequency conversion\, to generation of quan
tum light directly at telecom wavelength.
