  2. Prof. Daniel Loss wins King Faisal International Prize 2017 for Science

    Daniel Loss from the University of Basels Physics Department and Swiss Nanoscience Institute will be awarded the 2017 King Faisal International Prize for Science, for his pioneering theories of the spin physics of nanostructures, and for inventing the spin quantum computer -- a concept which has founded an entire new field of research!
