Quantization of heat flow in the fractional quantum Hall effects

Prof. Mitali Banerjee from the EPF-Lausanne

Mitali joined the EPFL in the beginning of 2020, setting up a low-temperature transport group. She is interested in correlated states that appear, for example, in the fractional quantum Hall state. She has done pioneering work in low-temperature heat transport. She has a Master from Calcutta University, a PhD in Physics from the S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and then for five years at the group of Motty Heiblum at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot. In Sept. 2018 she became an Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University, Ney York and was then successful in a search at EPFL.

The lecture will be given live in the lecture hall "Neuer Hörsaal, Foyer Physik". According to Corona rules a certain number of persons are admitted to join in the lecture room. So please, do not hesitate to join in real.

The talk will also be broadcast over Zoom. https://unibas.zoom.us/j/98535767025
