Katharina Laubscher wins Faculty of Science PhD prize
Dr. Katharina Laubscher, from Müttenz, has won the Faculty of Science prize (sponsored by Adobe Research, Schweiz) for her PhD thesis on “Topological systems with strong electron-electron interactions”.
Dr. Katharina Laubscher, from Müttenz, has won the Faculty of Science prize (sponsored by Adobe Research, Schweiz) for her PhD thesis on “Topological systems with strong electron-electron interactions” in the Condensed Matter Theory group of Prof. Dr. Jelena Klinovaja. The prize is given for the best PhD thesis in the Faculty of Science at the University of Basel.
Dr. Laubscher defended her PhD thesis with the grade Summa Cum Laude in July 2022, she also studied her bachelor and master degrees at the University of Basel. Since November 2022 Dr Laubscher is the Janet das Sarma post-doctoral fellow at the Condensed Matter Theory Center of the University of Maryland, USA.
