On March 16th and 17th, 2024 the Physics Department hosted this year's Swiss Young Physicists' Tournament (SYPT). SYPT is a competition for physics enthusiasts from secondary schools all over Switzerland. In the so-called Physics Fights, three teams (each consisting of two to three students) compete against each other. The performance of all three teams is evaluated by a jury. In the end, three winning teams are left. They take part in qualifying for the national team to be sent to the IYPT - the international equivalent of the SYPT.
